Description
Wellingore, a parish, with a village, in Lincolnshire, 1 1/2 mile from Navenby station on the G.N.R., and 9 1/2 miles NW of Sleaford. It has a post office under Lincoln; money order and telegraph office, Navenby. Acreage, 3208; population, 602. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. Wellingore Hall and Hill House are the chief residences. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lincoln; gross value, £300. Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln. The church is good, and has a tower and spire. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
