Timberland, a township and a parish in Lincolnshire. The township lies 4 1/2 miles WSW of Kirkstead station on the G.N.R, 2 from Scopwick and Timberland station on the G.N. and G.E. Joint railway, and 9 NE by N of Sleaford. It has a post office under Lincoln; money order office, Billinghay; telegraph office, Scopwick railway station. Acreage, 2760; population, 443; of the ecclesiastical parish, 592. There is a parish council consisting of five members. The parish includes Thorpe Tilney hamlet. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £200 with residence. The church is a building of stone in the Early English style, and was restored in 1887. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels. Roman coins have been found.
