Description
Thorpe St Peter, a parish, with a scattered village, in Lincolnshire, with a station called Thorpe Culvert, on the G.N.R., 125 miles from London, and 2 NNW of Wainfleet. Post town, Wainfleet. Acreage, 3147; population, 540. There is a parish council consisting of eight members. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £250. The church is a building of sandstone in the Decorated style, and has been restored. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels.
