Stroxton, Lincolnshire

Stroxton, a small village and a parish in Lincolnshire, 4 miles S from Grantham, and 2 1/2 W by N from Ponton station on the main line of the G.N.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Grantham. Acreage, 993; population, 101. The manor, with all the land, belongs to the Welby-Gregory baronet family. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £204. The church, which was restored, enlarged, and partly rebuilt in 1874-75, is a building of stone in the Norman and Early English styles.
