Description
Spanby, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire, 5 1/2 miles SSE of Sleaford, and 2 S from Aswarby station on the Bourn and Sleaford branch of the G.N.R. Post town, Falkingham; money order and telegraph office, Osbournby. Acreage, 1041; population, 82. The manor belongs to the Cragg family. The living is a rectory annexed to Swaton, in the diocese of Lincoln; joint net yearly value, £300 with residence. The church, which was rebuilt in 1880; is a small building of red brick in the Early English style.
