Description
Raithby-cum-Maltby, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire, 2 miles SW of Louth, and about a quarter of a mile S of Hallington station on the Louth and Lincoln branch of the G.N.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Louth. Acreage, 1963; population, 198. The manor belongs to the Chaplin family, who are sole landowners. The living is a rectory, united with the vicarage of Hallington, in the diocese of Lincoln; joint net value, £404 with residence. The church was built in 1839 at a cost of £4000, is in the florid Gothic style, and consists of nave, N aisle, and chancel, with pinnacled tower. The interior was greatly improved in 1884.
