Description
Torrington, East, a parish in Lincolnshire, 1 1/2 mile from East Barkwith station on the G.N.R. Post town, Wragby; money order and telegraph office, Hainton. Acreage, 1527; population of the civil parish, 114; of the ecclesiastical, with West Torrington, 274. The living is a rectory, united with West Torrington, in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £200 with residence. The church was rebuilt in 1850, and is an edifice of stone in the Decorated style.
