Description
Claxby St Andrew, a parish in Lincolnshire, three-fourths of a mile W of Willoughby station on the G.N.R., and 3 miles S of Alford. Post town, Alford; money order and telegraph office, Willoughby. Acreage, 1087; population, 87. Three sides of an ancient rectangular camp, probably Roman, and tumuli crowned with trees are here, and limestone is found. The living is a vicarage annexed to the rectory of Well in the diocese of Lincoln. The church is a building of brick in the Norman style.
