Billingborough

Description

Billingborough, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire, 3 miles E of Folkingham, with a station on the G.N.R., and a post, money order, and telegraph office under Folkingham. Acreage, 2374; population, 1123. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lincoln; net yearly value, £165, including 140 acres of glebe with residence, in the gift of the Crown. The church is Decorated English, and has a fine tower and spire. There are Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan chapels, a public hall, a reading-room and library, and two breweries and a making.
