Dadlington, a village, a township, and a parish in Leicestershire, on the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal, 3 miles NNW of Hinckley, and 1 1/4 mile from Stoke Golding station on the L. & N.W.R. Post town, Hinckley; money order and telegraph office, Stoke Golding. Acreage, 1028; population, 163. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Stoke Golding, in the diocese of Peterborough. The church (St James') was well restored in 1890. There is a good parish room.
