Twiston, a township in Whalley parish, Lancashire, 4 1/2 miles E by N of Clitheroe, and 1 1/2 from Rimmington station on the L. & Y.R. Post town, Clitheroe; money order and telegraph office, Chatburn. Acreage, 865; population, 71. The Duke of Buccleuch is lord of the manor.
