Seathwaite, an ecclesiastical parish in Kirkby Ireleth parish, Lancashire. It lies 4 1/2 miles W by S of Coniston, and 6 from Broughton-in-Furness, and has a post office under Broughton-in-Furness; money order and telegraph office, Broughton-in-Furness. The ecclesiastical parish was constituted in 1886. Population, 157. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Carlisle; gross value, £130 with residence. The church is in the Early English style, and consists of chancel, nave, and turret.
