Description
Seaforth, a village and a chapelry in Sefton parish, Lancashire. The village stands on the coast, 4 1/2 miles NNW of Liverpool, with a station on the L. & Y.R. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Liverpool. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Liverpool; net value, £450 with residence. The church was built in 1815, and has an octagonal tower with eight pinnacles; a new chancel was built in 1894.
