Description
Eccleshill, a township in Blackburn parish, Lancashire, 3 1/2 miles SSE of Blackburn, 2 miles from Darwen station on the L. & Y.R. Post town, Darwen. Acreage, 797 ; population, 697. There is a cotton factory in the township, and coal, fire-clay, and stone abound.
