Description
Duxbury, a township in Adiington parish, Lancashire, near the Wigan and Preston railway and canal, three-quarters of a mile from Bromley Cross station, and 2 miles S of Chorley. Acreage, 1012 ; population, 269. Duxbury Park, situated in a park of 150 acres, is the seat of the Standish family.
