Description
Winforton, a parish in Herefordshire, 1 1/2 mile SW of Eardisley station on the M.R. and G.W.R., and 6 NE of Hay. It has a post office (R.S.O.); money order and telegraph office, Eardisley. Acreage, 1114; population, 132. Winforton House is the chief residence. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Hereford; net value, £113 with residence. The church is very ancient, and was entirely restored in 1894-95.
