Description
Turnastone, a parish in Herefordshire, on the river Dove, a quarter of a mile W of Vowchurch station on the Golden Valley railway, 7 miles NNW of Pontrilas station on the G.W.R., and 10 WSW of Hereford. Post town. Vowchurch (R.S.O.); money order office, Peterchurch; telegraph office, Tram Inn. Acreage, 539; population, 58. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Hereford; gross value, £76 with residence. The church is Early English, and was restored in 1884.
