Description
Pencoyd, a parish in Herefordshire, 6 miles WNW of Ross. It includes the hamlet of Netherton and part of Harewood End. There is a post and money order office at Harewood End, under Ross; telegraph office, Hoarwithy. Acreage, 890; population, 173. There is no parish council, but Pencoyd sends one member to the district council of Ross. The living is a vicarage, annexed to the vicarage of Marstow, in the diocese of Hereford. The church is ancient, and was restored in 1878.
