Description
Kinsham, a parish in Herefordshire, near the boundary of Radnorshire, on the river Lugg, 4 miles E of Presteign. Post town, Presteign. The parish contains the townships of Upper and Lower Kinsham. Acreage, 1538; population of the civil parish, 103; of the ecclesiastical, 58. Kinsham Court, a fine old mansion, was the seat of the Oxford and Mortimer families. The living is a donative in the diocese of Hereford; net value, £50. The church at Upper Kinsham is a small modern edifice, and was restored in 1888.
