Southbourne, Hampshire

Description
Southbourne, an ecclesiastical parish in Sussex, 1 1/4 mile from Emsworth station on the L.B. & S.C.R., with a post office under Emsworth; money order and telegraph office, Emsworth. The parish was formed in 1878 out of Westbourne. Population, 1107. It forms a ward of Westbourne parish council, and returns seven members to the council of fifteen. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chichester; net value, £196 with residence. The church is a building of stone in the Early English style.
