Waltham, North, a parish in Hants, 6 1/2 miles SW of Basingstoke, and 4 from Micheldever station on the L. & S.W. R. It has a post and money order office under Micheldever station; telegraph office, Oakley. Acreage, 1958; population, 386. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Winchester; net value, £250. Patron, the Bishop of Winchester. The church was rebuilt in 1865, and is a building of flint in the Norman style with a shingled spire. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
