Description
Turkdean, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire, on the Fosse Way and the Cotswold Hills, 2 1/2 miles N of Northleach, and 3 1/4 W of Notgrove station on the G.W.R. There is a post office under Northleach (R.S.O.) Acreage, 2178; population, 205. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £81 with residence. Patron, Christ Church, Oxford. The church is ancient, with a Perpendicular tower built over the W end of a Norman nave, and an Early English chancel.
