Siddington, a parish, with a village, in Gloucestershire, on the river Chum and the Thames and Severn Canal, 1 1/2 mile SSE of Cirencester. It has a post office under Cirencester; money order, Watermoor; telegraph office, Cirencester. Acreage, 2137; population, 571. The manor belongs to Earl Bathurst. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £300 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church, restored in 187&, is Norman and Early English with Decorated and Perpendicular additions. The Langley chapel on the N side was erected in 1470, and contains memorials of the Langley family.
