Rissington, Little, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire, 1 mile SE of Bourton-on-the Water station on the G.W.R., and 4 miles S of Stow-on-the Wold. There is a post office under Bourton-on-the Water (S.O.); money order and telegraph office, Bourton-on-the Water. Acreage, 1479; population, 221. There is a parish council consisting of five members. The manor house is a modern Elizabethan mansion. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; gross value, £250 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is variously Norman, Early English, Decorated, and Perpendicular, and was restored in 1850 and 1883. It contains a piscina, aumbry, and lepers' window.
