Hinton-on-the-Green, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire. The village stands on the river Isborne, near the boundary with Worcestershire, 3 miles SSW of Evesham, has a station of the name of Hinton on the Evesham and Ash-church branch of the M.E. It has a post office under Evesham; money order and telegraph office, Evesham. Acreage of parish, 2291; population, 175. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; gross value, £202 with residence. The church is ancient, was restored in 1863, and has a fine tower.
