Description
Farmington, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire, near the Fosse Way, 1 1/2 mile NE of Northleach, and 4 1/2 miles-SW by S of Bourton-on-the-Water station on the G.W.R., with a post office under Northleach; money order and telegraph office, Northleach. Acreage, 2261; population, 243. Farmington Lodge is the seat of the lord of the manor. The-living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £112. The church is partly Norman, partly Early English, and partly of later dates. It was repaired in 1850, and restored, reroofed, and a new vestry built in 1890-91.
