Condicote, Gloucestershire

Description
Condicote, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire, under the Cotswolds, 4 miles NW of Stow-on-the-Wold. Post town Stow-in-the-Wold (S.O.) The parish includes the hamlet of Henchwick. Acreage, 1250 ; population, 113. Slight traces exist of a Roman and of a British camp. An ancient cross, restored in 1862, stands in the village. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £110. The church is ancient, and has a Norman doorway.
