Description
Walworth, a township in Heighington parish, Durham, 4 1/2 miles NW of Darlington. Post town, Heighington; money order and telegraph office, Piercebridge. Acreage, 2156; population, 138. The castle was built in the time of Elizabeth, and was visited in 1603 by James I., and is now the property of the Aylmer family.
