Description
Widworthy, a parish in Devonshire, 3 1/2 miles E by S of Honiton station on the L. & S.W.R. Post town, Honiton. Acreage, 1463; population, 153. The manor, with Widworthy Court, belongs to the Elton family. Widworthy Hill has some remains of an ancient entrenchment. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter; gross value, £190 with residence. The church is an ancient cruciform building of stone in the Decorated style.
