Sheldon, a parish in Devonshire, 6 1/2 miles NNW of Honiton station on the L. & S.W.R. Post town, Honiton; money order and telegraph office, Hemyock. Acreage, 1700; population, 128. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Exeter; net value, .6130. The church was rebuilt in 1871, and is a stone building in the Early English style.
