Description
Hittisleigh, a parish in Devonshire, near the river Yeo,. 4 miles from Bow station on the L. & S.W.R., and 7 1/2 WSW of Crediton. It has a post office under Exeter; money order and telegraph office. Bow. Acreage, 1982; population of the civil parish, 148; of the ecclesiastical, 123. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter; value,, £75. The church comprises nave and N aisle, with a tower, and is very ancient. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
