Description
Hackenthorpe, a hamlet in Beighton parish, Derbyshire, 2 miles E of Beighton, and 2 from Woodhouse Mill station on the M.S. & L.R. It has a post office under Eotherham; money order and telegraph office, Handsworth Woodhouse. Scythes and reaping hooks are made here in large numbers.
