Wistaston, Cheshire

Wistaston, a village and a parish in Cheshire. The village is half a mile N of Willaston station on the L. & N.W.R., 2 miles NE of Nantwich, and 2 WSWof Crewe. Post town, Nantwich; money order and telegraph office, Willaston. Acreage of parish, 1472; population, 610. There is a parish council of eight members. The Manor House and Wistaston Hall are the chief residences. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Chester; gross value, £152 with residence. The church was built in 1828, and partly rebuilt in 1884.
