Toft, a township and an ecclesiastical parish in Knutsford parish, Cheshire. The township lies 2 miles S by E of Knutsford. Post town, Knutsford. Acreage, 1312; population, 208. Toft Hall, an old-fashioned mansion, has been for generations the seat of the Leycester family. The ecclesiastical paritih includes the village and township of Bezton, and was constituted in 1852. Population, 341. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chester; net value, £200 with residence. The church was built in 1852, and contains a font of Caen stone with beautifully sculptured panels.
