Description
Sound, a township in Wybunbury parish, Cheshire, 3 1/2 miles SSW of Nantwich. It has a post office under Nantwich; money order and telegraph office, Aston. Acreage, 1089; population, 249. Sound Hall is now a farmhouse. There are Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan chapels.
