Description
Puddington, a village and a township in Burton parish,. Cheshire. The village stands near the Dee, 3 miles SW of Ledsham station on the Birkenhead railway, and 7 1/2 NW of Chester, and has a post office under Chester; money order and telegraph office, Neston. The township comprises 1391 acres; population, 150. The property belonged to the baronet family of Errington, the last of the name dying in 1893. Puddiugton Old Hall is now partly a farmhouse, partly the Roman Catholic presbytery. There is a Roman Catholic chapel.
