Description
Mollington, Great, or Mollington Tarrant, a township, with a straggling village, in Backford parish, Cheshire, on the Shropshire Union Canal, 2 1/2 miles NNW of Chester. It has a station, called Mollington, on the Birkenhead railway, and a post office under Chester; money order and telegraph, office. Great Sanghall. Acreage, 832; population, 224. Mollington Hall is the chief residence, and stands in a beautiful park with a fine sheet of water.
