Clifton or Rocksavage, a township in Hatton ecclesiastical and Runcorn civil parish, Cheshire, 2 miles NE of Frodsham. Acreage, 645; population, 215. It gives the title of Earl of Rocksavage to the Marquis of Cholmondeley, who is lord of the manor.
