Toft, a parish in Cambridgeshire, 3 1/2 miles from Old North Road station on the L. & N.W.R., and 6 WSW of Cambridge. It has a post office under Cambridge; money order and telegraph office, Bourn. Acreage, 1285; population of the civil parish, 217; of the ecclesiastical, with Caldecote, 309. The living is a rectory, united with Caldecote, in the diocese of Ely; gross value, £330 with residence. Patron, Christ's College, Cambridge. The church is an ancient edifice of stone in the Perpendicular style. The tower fell in 1890, but has been rebuilt.
