Description
Goosey, a village, a township, and a parish in Stanford-in-the-Vale parish, Berks, near the river Ock and the G.W.R., 1 mile N from Challow station, and 3 1/2 miles NW by N of Wantage. Post town, Faringdon; money order and telegraph office, Stanford-in-the-Vale. Acreage of the township, 968; population, 160; of the ecclesiastical parish, with Stanford-in-the-Vale, 1054. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Stanford-in-the-Vale, in the diocese of Oxford. The church is a small building of stone in the Early English style.
