Description
Farnborough, a village and a parish in Berks, 4 1/4 miles. W by N of East Ilsley, and 7 SSE of Wantage Road station on the G.W.R. Post town, Wantage; money order and telegraph office, Chaddleworth. Acreage, 1886; population, 203. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Oxford; gross value, £267 with residence. The church is a building of stone in the Early English style, has a good doorway, a fine font, and monuments of the Prices, and was recently restored.
