Llanharry, Glamorgan

Description
Llanharry, a village and a parish in Glamorgan. The village lies 2g- miles SV of Llantrissant station on the G.W.R., and 4 1/4 N of Cowbridge, and has a station on the Taff Valley railway. It has a post office under Pontyclun (R.S.O.); money order and telegraph office, Pontyclun. The parish comprises 1629 acres; population, 280. Coal is found, and there is a limestone and gravel quarry. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Llandaff; net value, £150 with residence. The church is dedicated to St Aran, and was rebuilt in 1868.
