Lisvane or Llysvaen, a parish in Glamorgan, on the SE border of the county, 1 1/2 mile E of Llanishen station on the G.W. and Rhymney Joint railway, and 5 miles N of Cardiff. It has a post office under Cardiff; money order and telegraph office, Llanishen. Acreage, 1416; population, 248. The living is a vicarage, annexed to that of Llanishen, in the diocese of Llandaff. The church, dedicated to St Denis, is ancient. There is a Baptist chapel.
