Description
Lavernock or Larnock, a parish in Glamorgan, on the coast at Lavernock Point, opposite Flatholm island, 1 1/4 mile S of Penarth, and 7 miles S of Cardiff, with a station on the Taff Vale railway. Post town, Penarth. It contains the hamlet of Cosmaston. Acreage, 648 of land, 1 of water, and 839 of foreshore; population, 78. The rocks include traces of lead ore. The living is a rectory, annexed to the rectory of Penarth, in the diocese of Llandaff.
