Fraisthorpe, a township and a chapelry in the parish of Carnaby, Bridlington union, E. R. Yorkshire. The township lies on the coast, 2 1/2 miles SSE of Carnaby railway station, and 4 1/2 S by W of Bridlington. Post town, Hull; money order and telegraph office, Bridlington. Acreage, 1824; population, 95. The living is a chapelry, belonging to the vicarage of Carnaby, and held with that of Boynton, in the diocese of York; joint net yearly value, £199 with residence. The Strickland family are lords of the manor and sole landowners.
