Description
Beswick, a township-chapelry and a village in Kilnwick-on-the-Wolds parish, E. R. Yorkshire, 1 1/2 mile NW of Lockington station on the N.E.R., and 6 1/2 miles N by W of Beverley. It includes the hamlet of Wilfholme, and has a post office under Beverley. Acreage, 2029 ; population, 211. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of York. It is held with Watton, and the gross income of the two parishes is £227. The church is good, and there is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
