Liddiard Millicent, a village and a parish in Wilts. The village stands 2 miles S of Purton station on the G.W.R., and 3 NE by N of Wootton Bassett, and has a post office under Swindpn; money order and telegraph office, Purton. Acreage, 2339; population, 912. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £405. Patron, Pembroke College, Oxford. The church is ancient, has a tower, and contains an old Norman font. In 1870 the building was well restored. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
