Withybrook, Warwickshire

Description
Withybrook, a village and a parish in Warwickshire. The village is 2 miles E of Shilton station on the Trent Valley section of the L. & N.W.R., and 8 NE by E of Coventry. It has a post office under Coventry; money order office, Pailton; telegraph office. Monks Kirby. The parish includes the hamlet of Hopsford. Acreage, 2519; population, 234. Hopsford Hall is the chief residence. There is a mineral spring, the waters of which are similar to those of Harrogate. The living is a vicarage, annexed to that of Monks Kirby. The church was built in the latter part of the 14th century, and was restored in 1893. There is a Congregational chapel.
