Deeping, West, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire, on the river Welland and the Tallington Canal, at the boundary with Northamptonshire, 1 mile ENE of Tallington station on the G.N.R., and 2 1/2 miles WSW of Market Deeping, with a post office under Market Deepiug; telegraph office, Tallington station. Acreage, 1296 ; population, 265. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; gross yearly value, £400. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is ancient, and has a tower with lofty spire.
