Friesthorpe, a parish in Lincolnshire, 1 mile W by S of Wickenby station on the M.S. & L.R., and 5 miles SSW of Market Rasen. Post town and money order and telegraph office. Market Rasen. Acreage, 698; population of the civil parish, 59 ; of the ecclesiastical, with Snarford, 161. The living is a consolidated rectory, united with the rectory of Snarford, in the diocese of Lincoln; joint net yearly value, £145 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Lincoln. The church, with the exception of its ancient tower, was rebuilt in 1841.
